Deputy Finance Director Tyson Bradford told the board the finance department is requesting approval to acquire UKG Ready time-and-attendance software to standardize how employees report time across county departments. "The finance department is seeking and asking the board for approval to acquire time and attendance software," Bradford said, explaining the software will provide real-time tracking of sick and annual leave and simplify payroll processing.
Bradford said payroll staff and department heads will benefit from uniform reporting tools and automation of personnel policy adherence. Commissioners discussed oversight and the request included flexibility to add licenses as needed; one commissioner moved to approve the request "not to exceed $234,861" for the fiscal year, with the expectation that renewal terms will be included in future budgets. The motion passed by voice vote and the board directed that future renewals be brought forward as part of the annual budget process.
