Construction on Navarro ISD's new high school is progressing from structural work to interior and exterior finishes, AG/CM Assistant Project Manager Melisa Nu'u told the board at its Nov. 18 meeting. "From Highway 123, you can see the school building beginning to receive exterior finishes," Melisa Nu'u said, noting that exterior masonry veneer on the classroom portion is close to completion and that roofing is complete on the two-story section.
Nu'u described ongoing interior work: first coat painting in classrooms, ceramic tile installation in restroom areas, above-ceiling work in second-floor classrooms and administrative areas, and scaffolding in the auditorium as finishing work ramps up. She also reported progress on the Practice Gym, Competition Gym (steel framing for bleachers and exterior masonry), the AG barn structural steel and that most parking lots for students, staff and visitors have been placed.
