Navasota ISD reports improved attendance and STAAR outcomes in TAPR presentation

Dr. Tracy Stone, joined by campus principals, presented the Navasota Independent School District’s Texas Academic Performance Report for the 2023–24 school year, reporting that the district enrolled 2,993 students and achieved a districtwide attendance rate of 93.7%, which the presentation noted is higher than the state average.
The report showed that 67% of students passed all subjects on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) in 2023–24 and highlighted academic growth in Reading, Language Arts and Math for several student groups. District leaders also noted monthly reviews of disciplinary data and a district dropout rate of 1.6%. There were no public comments during the hearing. The board adjourned at 6:33 p.m. and confirmed its next regular meeting for March 17, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.
