The Natalia Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the district's 2023–24 audit and voted to retain Coleman, Horton & Company for the 2024–25 annual financial audit.
Dusty Freeman presented the audit and praised district performance, saying the district did "a great job" during the 2023–24 fiscal year. Following Freeman's presentation, Eric Smith moved to approve the audit report "as presented" and to continue engagement with Coleman, Horton & Company; Fernando Garza seconded both motions and each passed 6–0.
Board members did not request further revisions to the audit during the meeting. The approvals were taken during the regular meeting on Oct. 28, 2024; the motions were recorded as passing unanimously by the six trustees present.
