Sherrill officials say city not in fiscal distress; former comptroller Mike Holmes introduced

At the start of the meeting the chair announced Commissioner Chris Niles' resignation and said a special meeting had been held over the weekend to appoint a replacement; the chair introduced Mike Holmes as "the former city comptroller" present at the dais. The chair and staff invited residents to attend a follow-up presentation in May and to bring questions to city hall. The city official encouraged residents not to rely on hearsay and to review the audit materials if they had concerns about finances.
