Residents urge traffic fixes at Brightwaters' 4 Corners; trustees point to April study

He urged larger pedestrian-warning signage and noted the difficulty of crossing near the tracks. Another resident suggested lime-green pylons or decorative planters to prevent parking in crosswalks and keep sight lines clear for pedestrians and children.
Board members and trustees said those neighborhood concerns are why the village is funding a $20,000 traffic study and the recently approved GPI contract; they asked residents to share specific problem times and locations so the consultant can target data collection and recommend concrete interventions such as raised crosswalks or bollards.
