Superintendent Gary Waitman told the board that storm damage earlier in the season produced multiple insurance claims affecting both district vehicles and building roofs.
He said three newer Suburbans and two 14-passenger buses had hail damage; one Suburban has been repaired by Lloyds Paint and Body and a 14-passenger bus remains at the shop awaiting a roof replacement. Emergency roofing repairs by DT Commercial addressed a hallway leak and damaged skylights using a PVC membrane patch and flashing-grade sealant; those emergency repairs were submitted to the insurer, Insurica, as part of the claim.
Waitman also said Armko (Greg Carroll) was on site taking core samples to inform bids and specifications for a larger roof repair and replacement project. The board took no formal action on the Armko item at this meeting.
