Paducah ISD approves four year-end amendments to close 2024–25 fiscal year

The Paducah ISD Board approved four final budget amendments for the 2024–25 fiscal year to account for late insurance proceeds and other end-of-year adjustments.
Jenny Smith described four amendments: (1) increase local revenue and a Function 34 expenditure to reflect an insurance check and corresponding hail-damage repairs to a bus; (2) slight increases to a Function 31 salary line and an interest revenue line to cover payroll costs; (3) a small increase to a Function 41 contract services line along with interest revenue adjustments to cover last-minute contract services; and (4) a decrease to the TRS-on-behalf revenue line with corresponding decreases to two Function 11 expenditure lines. Laura Bratton moved and Jody Piper seconded approval; the motion carried unanimously.
The amendments were presented as routine year-end reconciliations to align the ledger with actual received insurance proceeds and payroll/contract obligations. No trustee comments opposing the adjustments were recorded.
