Superintendent Dr. Kendra Pittman opened the March 27 Peaster ISD board meeting by thanking attendees and reporting encouraging results from a recent Possip parent survey, saying parents expressed satisfaction with the district and that staff review each comment for improvement. She also emphasized student attendance as a district priority and announced delivery of an updated State Champion Tennis monument that includes the two most recent champions.
The meeting included a student spotlight: Caitlynn Minotti’s choir students were praised for growth and recent performances, and archery coach Brandy Higginbotham reported several state and national qualifiers from the district. Dr. Pittman recognized STAR Students by grade and named Jo Smith Employee of the Month; Jo reflected on her decades of service and said, "I feel this is where God has placed me in this season of my life. I have come full circle and am very blessed to be here."
