Member Peel introduced a draft 'Table of Principle Uses' intended as a modern, supplemental reference for the Land Use Ordinance (LUO), saying the table could make the LUO easier to navigate and help the Select Board. Peel recommended starting with a supplemental page rather than replacing the LUO sections, and he used language taken from the LUO's permitted-uses sections.
Schwartz suggested the table be titled 'Table of Permitted Uses' (corrected spelling and title for publication), and Piatt asked Peel to prepare an additional chart listing building permits and other permit requirements. Peel agreed to revise the chart; the board discussed keeping multifamily dwellings on the chart for public information and using site-plan review or ZBA referrals as appropriate.
