District staff outline 2025–26 calendar process; committee to meet Feb. 24 and Mar. 10

Dr. Rebecca Stephens presented the process and timetable for developing the 2025–26 academic calendar. She said the District Education Improvement Committee — which includes staff and community representatives — met on Jan. 13 to review a proposed calendar and gather feedback.
Dr. Stephens said the committee will meet again on Monday, Feb. 24 and Monday, Mar. 10, 2025 to finalize the calendar, and the district plans to present the final calendar to the board for approval at the March 27 regular meeting. No final calendar was adopted at the Feb. 20 meeting; Dr. Stephens sought input and documented the upcoming committee dates.
