Peaster ISD trustees approve minutes, financials and three motions, all 6–0
Summary
At the Feb. 20 meeting the board approved the Jan. 16 minutes and January financial reports; the board also adopted a wage-payment resolution for emergency closings, moved the March meeting date to March 27, 2025, and approved hiring a campus administrator after closed-session consideration. All recorded motions passed 6–0.
The Peaster ISD board approved a set of consent items and several business motions during its Feb. 20 meeting; all recorded motions carried by unanimous 6–0 votes.
Vice President Jacob Bashore moved to approve the Jan. 16, 2025 meeting minutes and the monthly financial reports for January; Nathan McCarty seconded and the motion "carried 6-0." Later in the meeting Laura Stewart moved to approve a resolution on wage payments during emergency school closings; Leanna Stafford seconded and the motion passed 6–0. Stewart also moved to change the March board meeting from March 20 to March 27, 2025 because of spring break; Vice President Jake Bashore seconded and the motion carried 6–0.
After a closed-session deliberation under the listed Texas Government Code sections, the board reconvened and approved employing a campus administrator on the recommendation presented; Laura Stewart moved, Leanna Stafford seconded, and the motion carried 6–0.
