Peaster ISD superintendent announces POSSIP rollout and Long-Range Planning Committee

Dr. Kendra Pittman, Peaster ISD superintendent, told the board Feb. 20 that "the safety of our students and staff remains a top priority" and that district leaders are building new systems to improve communication and planning.
Dr. Pittman said recent professional development sessions were successful and announced the district will introduce a new parent- and community-facing communication tool, POSSIP, funded through a grant. "We are also excited to introduce a new communication tool, POSSIP, which will enhance our engagement with parents and the community," she said. The superintendent added the district will use data from the tool to improve responsiveness to families.
As part of longer-term planning, Dr. Pittman said the district will form a Long-Range Planning Committee to help shape Peaster ISD's growth and development in coming years. No committee membership or timeline beyond the announcement was specified during the meeting.
