Pasadena ISD adopts $1.2255 tax rate and 2024-25 budget

The Pasadena Independent School District Board of Trustees adopted the district's 2024-25 budget and approved a tax rate totaling $1.2255 during its Aug. 27 meeting. The board set the Maintenance and Operations (M&O) rate at $0.8855 and the Interest and Sinking (I&S) rate at $0.3400. Motion to adopt the tax rate was made by Vickie Morgan and seconded by Nelda Sullivan; the motion passed 6-0.
Board members also approved budget amendments for July and August 2024 and passed GASB 54 fund balance resolutions during the same session. The adoption of the budget followed a public meeting portion on the budget and proposed tax rate led by Chief Financial Officer Ben Pape. The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Sept. 24, 2024.
