Paris ISD board approves budget amendments, sets public meeting and publishes proposed tax rate

At the May 23 meeting the Paris ISD Board accepted reports from the business manager including an executive summary, budget summary, tax summary and monthly investment summary. The board approved budget amendments on a motion by Terry Davis and second by Aubrey Gibbs; the motion carried unanimously, 6–0.
Trustees also set June 16, 2025 (regular noon meeting) as the public meeting date to discuss the 2025–2026 budget. Separately, the board approved the proposed tax rates for publication in the Notice of Public Meeting: Maintenance & Operations $0.7552, Interest & Sinking $0.2057, for a total proposed rate of $0.9609. Those rates were approved for publication on a motion by Anne Biard and second by LaWanda Ladell, carried unanimously.
