After closing the public hearing, the board moved into a special meeting where several small budget amendments were proposed to reflect changed contractual needs in the court budget, higher lighting costs for sidewalks and a modest $200 contingency for a Safe at Home survey.
The chair provided a brief sewer update: "It's gone amazingly well," the chair said, and noted seeding would be completed by the highway department ahead of an expected storm. Board members thanked staff and contractors for completing the work quickly and noted the project should be effectively finished after the seeding.
Members then moved the budget amendments and the board recorded general assent during the vote. The board set its next regular meeting for Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Why it matters: the amendments adjust fiscal lines to reflect current service needs and close out an expedited sewer project; voters and residents should expect updated financial statements once amendments are posted.
