Perryton ISD extends superintendent's contract by one year; several staff resignations announced
Summary
Following executive session, trustees approved a one-year extension to the superintendent's contract. Superintendent Mr. Brown also announced resignations from several staff members including Jimmy Lewis and Carol Rutz.
After returning from executive session, the Perryton ISD Board approved a one-year extension to Superintendent Mr. Brown's contract. The motion to extend the contract was made by Trustee Duce Cooper, seconded by Jeff Schollenbarger, and passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting Superintendent Mr. Brown announced resignations from district employees: Jimmy Lewis, Carol Rutz, Kara Davis, Jibrael Washington and Nia Washington. No personnel action on the employee contract item was taken during open session.
