Peaster FFA named state champions; district highlights student successes

Peaster ISD trustees celebrated student accomplishments at their Jan. 16 Board meeting, including a state title for the district’s FFA team and strong campus assessment results. Principal Doug McCullough introduced Mr. Wicker, who told the board that the "Peaster FFA Skills Team has been named State Champions once again," an accomplishment the school said reflects ongoing commitment to career and technical education.
Superintendent Dr. Kendra Pittman and Principal Brandon Love also highlighted recent UIL academic participation and a set of STAR Students recognized across preschool through sixth grade. Principal Love presented data showing "significant growth across all grade levels," pointing to notable improvements in math and other core subjects. The recognitions were framed as part of a broader effort to emphasize academic and extracurricular excellence in the 2024–25 school year.
