Board posts RFQ for grant-writing help as TAP sidewalk deadline approaches

Supervisor told the board that a TAP (Transportation Alternatives Program) funding round with about $97 million statewide is open and that the local deadline for applications is March 12. Because prior applications were strong but needed updated easements and supporting materials, the board approved posting an RFQ for grant-writing services, with a public notice to run Nov. 25 and proposals due by noon on Dec. 10, and appointed a small review committee (two board members and staff) to evaluate proposals and recommend a selection at the December meeting.
Town staff will contact adjacent property owners to clarify easements and gather surveys ahead of the application, and the board agreed the RFQ language should be tightened to include definite dates and submission instructions before publication.
