Resident Austin urges Uinta to act on speeding on 6550; council to revisit issue on the 17th

Austin offered several low-cost options — a lower posted speed limit, converting two intersections to 3- or 4-way stops, and repeat placement of the speed trailer — and volunteered to help physically install signs, saying, "I will buy the cement. I will bury the signs."
The chair thanked Austin and told the commission the speeding item will return to the agenda on the 17th and that a lieutenant will present data he has gathered that day. Austin said he may not be available on the 17th but that he will keep in touch with staff. The commission did not take a formal vote on recommendations during the meeting; the item was scheduled for further discussion on the stated date.
