Council reappoints library board member, names mosquito-abatement appointee and OKs two alcohol permits

Chair moved to reappoint Cecilia Genoble to the Library Board of Control to serve a first full term after an unexpired term; Chair noted the term will expire July 2031. The council moved, seconded, and approved the reappointment by roll call.
The chair also moved to appoint James Wolf to fill an unexpired term on the Tangipahoa Mosquito Abatement District board set to expire in July 2027; the council approved that appointment by roll call. Lastly, the council considered two alcohol-license items: a Class A beer permit for Fatboy Seafood (Old Highway 51 Acres) and Class A beer and Class A/B liquor permits for Foundry 51 Steakhouse & Bar in Kentwood. Both permit requests were moved, seconded, and approved by roll call.
