Tanya Davis reported that Port Neches‑Groves (PNG) was one of 18 schools selected to participate in a Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo welding project, and she told trustees the district is proud of the students chosen for the opportunity.
"PNG was one of 18 schools selected to participate. We are very proud of these students," Tanya Davis said. Principals Brett McPhatter (Groves Middle School), Kim Carter (PNI) and Misty Higgins (Special Education) then provided brief updates on campus activities and departmental items. The item was presented as part of the superintendent's report; no board action was required.
