Lee County official warns of water constraints, suggests regional utility cooperative

He warned that chronically low aquifer levels could prompt state limits on issuing building permits in affected areas.
Board members asked that the environmental board and utilities staff be invited to brief the committee and suggested follow-up on permitting constraints and possible remediation strategies. No formal direction or vote was taken at the meeting.
