Applicant Phillip Lee Spillers told the commission he currently resides in Columbus, Ga., and that his wife works from home; he said the couple knows people in the area and prefers the rural setting. "they want to put it on a concrete slab," the applicant said. Neighbor Mark Henson spoke in opposition to placing mobile homes in the area, arguing they "depreciate, and when they get vacant and abandoned it makes the county look ugly." The chair also reported a text from an adjacent property owner in CUVA, but said that adjoining parcel would not be developed. The minutes show the commission adjourned the hearing; no final vote on the CUP is recorded in the hearing segment.
