Premont ISD board pulls RAISE grant-writing item and approves consent agenda items

At its Jan. 23 meeting the Premont ISD Board of Trustees voted to remove agenda item 4.D, which would have considered hiring grant writers for the U.S. Department of Transportation RAISE grant, from the consent agenda until further notice.
Trustee Emma V. Falcon made the motion to pull the item; Trustee Chris Morales seconded and the board voted unanimously in favor. The minutes record that Trustee Fred Gutierrez was not present to vote on that change to the consent agenda.
Later in the meeting Trustee Jo Ann Pena moved to approve consent items 4.A (approval of minutes), 4.B (budget amendment/designated fund balance), and 4.C (accept donations); Trustee Emma V. Falcon seconded and the board voted unanimously to approve those items. The pulled 4.D item was deferred for future consideration, according to the minutes.
