Premont ISD board unanimously approves February goals and progress measures

The Premont Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Feb. 17 to approve a set of governance items for February, including a goal focused on Early Years Literacy (GPM 1.2 MOY-mClass) and a Constraint Progress Measure tied to attendance (CPM 5.1).
Board President Irma M. Johnson moved to approve the Early Years Literacy goal; Chris Morales seconded the motion and the motion passed with all members present. The board also approved a Board Self‑Evaluation score of 41 after a motion by Jo Ann Pena and a second from Emma V. Falcon. Administration recommended amendments to Goal Progress Measures 1.2, 2.1 and 2.2 and Constraint Progress Measures 3.1 and 5.1; Chris Morales moved to accept the recommendation and Angie Q. Barrera seconded. That motion also passed unanimously.
The actions were recorded as routine governance items and will be implemented by district administration as part of ongoing monitoring of academic and operational metrics.
