Premont ISD board approves multiple Lone Star Governance measures, including TSI criteria and special education logs

Johnson moved to approve the December Goal Progress Measure 3.1 Texas Success Initiative (TSI) criteria; the motion was seconded and passed with five in favor and one opposed (Ruben Martinez). "I. Ruben Martinez moved to approve the December Constraint Progress Measure 3.2 Special Education Evaluation logs, and Jo Ann Pena seconded; the Board voted unanimously to approve that item. Emma V. Falcon moved to approve the November Constraint Progress Measure 5.1 Attendance as presented by Administration; the motion passed unanimously as well. The Board also approved adding Goal 4 Student Performance (STAAR, grades 3–8 and End of Course) and specific GPM additions for 5th- and 8th-grade subject measures (GPM 4.1 and 4.2) after motions by Chris Morales and Jo Ann Pena, respectively.
Board action on these items updates the district's monitoring measures and assessment-focused goals for student performance and special education monitoring.
