The Port Neches‑Groves ISD Board of Trustees voted Sept. 9 to approve budget amendment GF25-1, reallocating $1,810,000 from the district's General Fund balance to the Bond Fund to cover remaining payments on the 2019 bond project.
Business Manager Dr. Paul Bryan presented the amendment and recommended approval. Trustee Dustin Marsh moved to approve GF25-1; Trustee Jake Lefort seconded. The board approved the transfer 7-0.
The amendment was presented as a reallocation of existing General Fund balance to cover identified bond project obligations rather than a new appropriation. The board recorded the motion and unanimous vote in the minutes; follow-up is limited to the accounting and posting of the transfer in the district's fiscal records.
