Board members approved the budget and the tax ordinance in separate motions. Scott Bartlett moved to approve the proposed budget as presented; Jake Lefort seconded and the motion passed 6-0. Brenda Duhon moved to approve the ordinance and resolution fixing and levying ad valorem taxes; Dustin Marsh seconded and the motion passed 6-0.
District staff presented the budget packet and accompanying ordinance language that sets the fiscal year beginning Sept. 1, 2024, and ending Aug. 31, 2025. The presentation noted per-pupil budgeting used an enrollment figure of 5,374 (the packet also records a same-morning count of 5,378) and listed average daily attendance (ADA) at 5,001.275.
Board President Brandon Cropper presided over the hearing and meeting. No public comments were received during the public-hearing portion. The hearing opened at 12:30 p.m. and was adjourned around 1:10 p.m.; the regular meeting concluded about 1:30 p.m.
