Cllr Deaderick moved and Cllr Medeiros seconded a motion to approve Stephanie Franklin’s application to the Parks & Recreation Committee; the motion passed unanimously.
Dennis Devore, reporting for Parks & Recreation, said the bingo event was “very successful” and described upcoming activities including a "Light Up" event and golf-cart parade. Devore also noted a community decoration exchange scheduled at the community center the weekend after the festival.
Council members provided operational updates: Cllr Jones announced the schedule for Clean-up Day, saying, “Clean-up Day will be all week next week, Mon-Thursday 9-4 and Saturday 7-11.” Vice President Mullikin offered condolences on the recent passing of long-term resident Laurie Willis.
