The Board voted to approve a Memorandum of Understanding related to a District Retirement Option in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Mokena Teachers Association and the Board at the Feb. 19 meeting. The motion was moved by Mrs. Julie Oost and seconded by Mrs. Lisa Zielinski.
Discussion preceding the vote included a request from Mrs. Kelli MacMillan to table the item and an expressed concern about imposing penalties on teachers who have exercised the clause. Despite that request, the motion carried 6-1 with Mrs. MacMillan recorded as voting no. The item was recorded as VII.I on the agenda.
