The Mokena School District 159 Board of Education voted to approve the Mokena Intermediate School (MIS) Roof Restoration Project in an amount not to exceed $600,000 at its Feb. 19, 2025 meeting. The motion was made by Mr. Jim Andresen and seconded by Mrs. Lisa Zielinski.
The roll-call vote was 6 in favor and 1 opposed; Mrs. Kelli MacMillan voted nay and stated she wanted more information before approving the project. The vote authorizes procurement through the Joint Cooperative Purchasing Agreement as described by Chief School Business Official Dr. Teri Shaw and Director of Buildings and Grounds Dave Rana.
