County Manager Thomas Weaver proposed using 2024 LMIG (Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant) funds to repair Friendship Road and possibly Liberty Hill Road; commissioners agreed that Friendship Road is a priority and directed staff to pursue LMIG funding for the repair. Weaver also added a 2025 SPLOST bank-account item to the Feb. 4 agenda and asked that road projects be regularly added to work-session agendas so commissioners can prioritize projects.
Commissioner Frost asked about Liberty Hill Road; Weaver said it lies adjacent to Friendship Road and could be considered in the same project. The commission supported moving forward with the LMIG-funded repair strategy and scheduling the related agenda items.
