Commission approves one BOC vehicle and tables sheriff/EMA purchases pending SPLOST outcome

Commissioner Jason Frost said the board should avoid committing to multiple replacements before SPLOST outcomes are known; the motion included using credit for the BOC vehicle to avoid losing a purchasing opportunity.
County Manager Thomas Weaver explained that several lease vehicles are returning and the county is trying to avoid replacing five or six units next budget year; the board agreed to revisit sheriff/EMA vehicle needs and consider reassigning a Tahoe if necessary. No appropriation beyond the single approved BOC vehicle was authorized at the meeting.
