Commission reaffirms Charles Coffey as chairman, names Timothy Biddle vice chair

At its Jan. 7 meeting the Cusseta–Chattahoochee County commission voted to appoint Charles Coffey as chairman after a failed motion to make Timothy Biddle chairman; commissioners also unanimously confirmed Biddle as vice chair.
The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta–Chattahoochee County convened its regular meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Jan. 7, 2025. A motion by Commissioner Damon Hoyte to appoint Commissioner Timothy Biddle as chairman failed for lack of a second. Commissioner Gerald Douglas moved to appoint Charles Coffey as chairman; the motion passed with Commissioner Hoyte voting against.
Commissioners then unanimously appointed Timothy Biddle as vice chairman on a motion by Commissioner Jason Frost, seconded by Commissioner Douglas. The minutes record that Vice-Chairman Biddle had been absent at the start of the meeting but was formally designated vice chair on the recorded vote.
The board also approved routine minutes and executive-session minutes from December 2024 during the opening portion of the meeting. No further leadership changes were recorded.
