County attorney discloses $5 million lawsuit during executive‑session briefing

Minter stated the amount associated with the lawsuit was "5 million dollars."
Chairman Charles Coffey said the matters discussed were within the legal exceptions to the open‑meetings law and that no votes were taken while in executive session. An affidavit filed with meeting materials logs the statutory basis for the session (O.C.G.A. provisions cited in the affidavit) and notes that minutes will be kept for in‑camera inspection as required by statute.
