At the SFSC’s Jan. 23, 2024 meeting, Facilitator Nancy reported that a decision on the NFC grant application is pending a spring site visit by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to conduct an archaeology review. "Decision pending a spring site visit by NRCS for archaeology review," she said, and added she would let the committee know when site-visit dates are scheduled.
The update means that the committee will await the NRCS archaeology review before expecting a final determination on the grant. Nancy said she will inform members once the schedule is firm; no grant award date or funding amount was specified in the minutes.
