Committee members said the camps should not conflict with the city's existing youth soccer schedule and that the city expects nominal revenue while offering programming to residents. The Magical Nights parade was also highlighted and scheduled for Dec. 14; committee members reminded the board of logistics and encouraged planning coordination with staff.
Staff said more program previews will be provided in January as budget approvals are pursued. Committee members estimated Challenger Sports could attract a few hundred participants and said the partnership is an opportunity to offer additional programming at minimal infrastructure cost to the city.
