Board updates: pickleball tournament, Jesse James Festival, chamber nomination and upcoming events

Chair reminded the board that Greg Gillihan and his crew will host a pickleball tournament this weekend and said staff will be on site at the amphitheater for the Outlaw Music Festival. "If you swing by the pickleball courts this weekend... I think we're up to about 45 right now," the Chair said.
Ryan told the board Kearney Parks and Rec was nominated for the Chamber's 'biggest community impact' award and encouraged voting links circulated by staff and board members, but noted they have not promoted the nomination on the official city page. The board also reviewed Jesse James Festival logistics, including demo derby and parade timing, and confirmed city departments' roles under a new public service agreement.
