Horry County Council honors Coastal Carolina baseball for historic 2025 season

The Horry County Council adopted Resolution R-114-2025 honoring the Coastal Carolina University baseball team for its 2025 season. The chair read the proclamation that cited the team's 56–13 record, a 26-game winning streak and conference and regional championships, and noted the team's 2025 College World Series runner-up finish.
Coach Kevin Schnall accepted the recognition and introduced players and staff, including Cam Flucke, Blake Barthel and Mickey Beach. Schnall told the council, 'my name is Kevin Schnall, and I'm the head baseball coach,' credited the community for packed stadium crowds (calling out 'over 3,200 fans a game' and 'during the regionals, we had over 6,000 fans'), and praised the players' contributions to the season.
