Supervision District approves five-day vacation carryover for superintendent; chair given authority to approve school-year leave

The Region 4 Supervision District Committee voted unanimously to approve Superintendent Brian White’s request to carry over five vacation days from the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, into the 2026–27 fiscal year in accordance with the Superintendent’s Professional Agreement. The action followed the committee’s return from executive session at about 6:26 p.m.
In a separate motion the committee voted 7–1 to designate the Committee Chair to approve any superintendent vacation leave taken when school is in session, or leave that would exceed ten consecutive business days for fiscal year July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027. Committee member Rick Daniels cast the lone dissenting vote. The minutes record the action as taken under the Professional Agreement for Superintendent of Schools; the motion language on the record delegates limited administrative leave-approval authority to the chair for the 2026–27 year.
