Superintendent Dr. Montgomery delivered a truncated superintendent's report and used the time to announce personnel moves for the 2026–27 school year. He said the full report will be uploaded to the district website and introduced Molly Escobar's elevation from a coordinator position to director of special education and student services.
Montgomery introduced new hires and role changes: Rachel Pollara will serve as coordinator of student services and teaching and learning (position previously held by Escobar), Jessica Baraka will be coordinator of specialized services (a new position), Michael Berry will assume the assistant-principal role at Deer Path Middle, and Joanne Ford Halverson will take on the role of school psychologist. Montgomery also noted that Amy Fiore will move out of the classroom to an instructional and behavioral coach role and that Carly Harvey has moved from an assistant-principal position into an advanced learning specialist role at Cherokee. Board members welcomed the hires and Montgomery said more details are in the posted superintendent report.
