The Town Council of Nutter Fort re-read and adopted Ordinance 2025-04, which amends the schedule of rates and charges for the town's water distribution system, during its Jan. 27 meeting. Councilor Charlene Louk moved to accept the ordinance on second reading; Councilor Karen Phillips seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The second reading was held to correct a clerical error in the ordinance's prior publication rather than to introduce a new fee, the council recorded. "NOTE – this is only a re-read due to a clerical error in December, 2025," the minutes state. The public hearing was opened and council twice invited comment; no members of the public spoke. The council completed a roll call before adopting the ordinance and recorded the motion as passed.
