During the public-comment portion of the Oct. 28 meeting, resident Dennis Dutchess raised concerns about the Clarksburg Water Board's recent and planned rate increases. Dutchess said the board is "receiving $19 million" and questioned the fairness of an increase under those circumstances; he said he plans to attend the CWB meeting on Nov. 12, 2025 to seek more information.
Council members acknowledged the concern and told the resident the council is trying to better understand the situation; the council plans to have a representative attend the Clarksburg Water Board meeting. No formal council action was taken on the comment during the meeting.
