The Town of Nutter Fort council adopted an Outage Communication Plan at its Oct. 14 meeting to comply with state requirements. The plan requires that "all notifications must be available with the option of a phone call, a text message, or an email," and was approved after a motion by Councilor Charlene Louk and a second by Councilor Karen Phillips.
Council members voted by roll call; the motion passed unanimously with Councilor Sam Maxson absent. Officials noted the plan will guide how residents are notified during outages and that the town must support multiple notification methods going forward.
