Dr. Montgomery told the board that district leaders have been "telling the Lake Forest story" at conferences and professional gatherings and highlighted staff presentations on MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) that described how inclusive practices and deliberate supports contributed to higher-than-expected student growth. "Tonight's topic will cover, some outreach that we have done, across the state and the country, telling the Lake Forest story," he said.
He also celebrated visiting-author and visiting-artist programming—naming author Bruce Hale and cartoonist Jeff Jeffrey Brown—and thanked community partners, including APT and Spirit, for enabling those events. Dr. Montgomery reminded the public that certain grants are due Jan. 29 at 3 p.m. and encouraged continued community engagement while acknowledging the district's ongoing work to improve outcomes.
