Department heads gave brief reports. Fire Chief Jeremy Haddix said the Ultimate Bash "went better than anticipated and was the first time selling out" and that the event will move to May 9, 2026 to avoid conflicts with other fall events. He also announced the Annual Santa Run to collect nonperishable food items will be held on Dec. 7, 2025 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
EMS reported the newest ambulance is receiving striping, will be stocked and undergo state inspection before entering service; the department plans to rotate trucks to balance mileage and reduce maintenance. Public Works said Storz fittings are being placed on hydrants to minimize hose connection time, and Code Enforcement noted a staff member will attend a December seminar in Flatwoods at a $200 cost.
