The fire department's written report noted a structure fire on Burton Avenue that "has been held to one room" and listed a Cash Bash fundraiser set for May 9, 2026. Public Works reported that "East of Chicago is scheduled to open 1/26/2026" and that Mon Power is in the process of replacing streetlights. Code enforcement said the final inspection for the new dentist’s office behind Go Mart is scheduled for tomorrow. Officer Adam Zahradnik reported that Chief Godwin is revamping police hiring procedures.
EMS was unavailable at the meeting because crews were on a call; the department will provide its 2025 report at the next meeting.
