Board authorizes Perkins and Will to proceed with referendum Phase 2 design work

The Lake Forest Community High School District 115 board voted to authorize Perkins and Will to proceed with architectural services for referendum Phase 2 planning and design.
District staff explained Phase 2 is the second multi-year component of the referendum and that the authorization allows Perkins and Will to develop design documents, coordinate stakeholder reviews and prepare bid-ready packages. "This is authorizing Perkins and Will to proceed with that phase 2 piece of the referendum," an administrator said. The motion was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
Board members clarified that some work approved represents payment for work already completed on an RMA lobby refresh and that further, more substantive revisions or bids would be returned to the board in December for direction.
