The City of Alamo adopted an ordinance granting a one-year conditional-use permit allowing on-site sale of alcoholic beverages at Li Le Asian Kitchen, located at the southeast corner of Alma Road and Duranta in the Alamo original town site (commercial zoning). The applicant is Ramon Ponce.
Planning staff described the site plan, hours of operation and interior remodel and said the Planning and Zoning Commission met Nov. 19 and unanimously recommended approval. "We did hold a public hearing. We sent out the notices... No one opposed it," staff said. Staff also noted the restaurant has similar operations at other locations and that the permit will be reviewed after the one-year term to determine compliance with Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission regulations.
A commissioner moved to approve the ordinance; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. No public speakers testified at the hearing against the permit.
